Job Title

Senior DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's Advanced Technology Group to define and execute DFT methodology, test implementation, and bring-up for next-generation CMOS process nodes and advanced packaging. Work with cross-functional design, verification, and test teams to optimize test time, data collection, and product yield.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Posting specifies 12+ years of experience in design for test.

Responsibilities

The role owns DFT implementation through test program bring-up and failure analysis for advanced process and packaging projects.

  • Define DFT methodology, insert test logic, and verify test logic design.
  • Generate test patterns and develop flows for pattern generation and compression.
  • Develop and bring up ATE test programs and custom test methods for data collection.
  • Perform complex debug and failure analysis to resolve bring-up and production issues.
  • Balance test time vs. data collection needs to monitor process health.
  • Collaborate on design and tapeout of advanced packaging vehicles.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 12+ years experience in design for test (DFT) for ASICs.
  • In-depth knowledge of test architectures: IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG), IEEE 1500, SSN scan compression, IOBIST, and memory BIST.
  • Expertise in test logic design verification and pattern generation; ability to develop and enhance flows.
  • Experience with ATE test program development and bring-up, including specifying custom test methods for data collection.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard DFT EDA tools.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting (e.g., Python).

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DDR and HBM high-speed I/O testing.
  • Hands-on failure analysis experience (LVP, photon emission, ebeam probing).
  • Familiarity with Advantest 93k testers.

Education Requirements

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (explicitly stated in posting). No other degree requirements specified.
