Role Summary

Customer-facing technical role within Siemens EDA focused on Design-for-Test (DFT) solutions using Tessent tools. The position combines pre-sales engineering, technical demonstrations, and customer support to drive adoption of DFT and test automation across European customers.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting requests 3+ years of experience in EDA tools, semiconductor design, or a related technical domain.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and customer support for DFT solutions; collaborate with sales to close deals and inform product development.

• Conduct technical demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and architecture reviews to showcase EDA/DFT tool capabilities and ROI.
• Support pre-sales activities including tool integration assessments and performance optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with sales and cross-functional teams to develop technical solutions for customer needs and support deal closure.
• Implement and automate DFT flows in the Tessent environment and assist customers with test insertion and verification workflows.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with customers and partners across Europe and collect feedback to inform product strategy.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to present solutions and technical use cases.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and preferred qualifications for hands-on DFT and Tessent work.

• Must-have: Practical ASIC Design-for-Test (DFT) experience including MBIST, Logic BIST, scan, ATPG, boundary scan, and embedded compression.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience with Tessent tools and flows (Tessent MBIST, Hybrid TK/LBIST, Tessent Boundary Scan, Tessent Scan, TestKompress) and Tessent Shell automation.
• Must-have: Experience with IJTAG (IEEE 1687), ICL/PDL and boundary-scan insertion techniques.
• Must-have: Experience performing verification using Tessent-generated testbenches with Questa or other industry-standard simulators.
• Must-have: Proficiency in TCL scripting and experience automating design/test flows.
• Must-have: Strong overall understanding of ASIC, board, or system-level design flows.
• Required soft skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work closely with customers and sales teams.
• Language: Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Nice-to-have: DFT architecture and methodology development experience; RTL design experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
