Role Summary

Design and validate digital semicustom blocks and flows for Micron's memory and storage products. The role is based at the Munich Development Center (MDC) and works across synthesis, place-and-route, verification, equivalence checking, and silicon validation.

Responsibilities

Deliver and maintain semicustom digital design blocks and the associated tool flows.

• Design digital blocks (control logic, BIST, DfT) using semi-custom methodology.
• Participate in logic synthesis constraining and timing closure activities.
• Support place-and-route (P&R) and related P&R tool flows.
• Perform RTL and gate-level functional verification and STA-driven validation.
• Execute equivalence checking between RTL and netlist.
• Set up and enhance semicustom design flows and automation.
• Assist in silicon design validation and prepare design documentation.

Requirements

Key technical and interpersonal requirements for the role.

• Proven RTL coding experience in Verilog or VHDL; experience with synthesis and constraining.
• Experience with static timing analysis (STA), RTL and gate-level simulations.
• Familiarity with full-custom and semi-custom design methodologies and P&R flows.
• Experience with digital interface descriptions and implementation details.
• Ability to use AI-enabled P&R features and apply AI tools where relevant.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Independent, proactive worker and effective international team member.

Education Requirements

Degree (Bachelor's or higher) or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics. Equivalent practical experience is explicitly allowed.
