Senior Development Engineer — Digital Semicustom Design
Role Summary
Design, implement, and verify semicustom digital circuit blocks for advanced memory products as part of Micron's Semicustom team in Munich. Work with global design, verification, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, scalable, and manufacturable solutions from concept through silicon validation.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement digital blocks (e.g., PLL control logic, BIST, DfT) using semicustom methodologies.
- Develop and integrate Place & Route (P&R) blocks, including AI-enabled P&R features.
- Perform RTL, functional, and gate-level verification to ensure design quality and reliability.
- Set up, maintain, and enhance semicustom design flows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Support silicon bring-up and design validation activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Create clear technical documentation to support design reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 3+ years of RTL design experience using Verilog or VHDL.
- Practical experience with synthesis, timing constraints, and static timing analysis (STA).
- Hands-on experience with at least three of the following tools: Fusion Compiler, Fusion.ai, PrimeTime, NCSim, TCL, Perl.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in an international, cross-functional environment; proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with semicustom design flows in advanced technology nodes.
- Exposure to silicon validation and post-silicon debug.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and scripting for design automation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (as stated in the posting).
