Senior Design Verification Engineer - PCIE
Role Summary
Verify the design and implementation of PCI Express controllers for GPUs, SoCs and DPUs by developing scalable, reusable verification environments and testbenches. Work at IP and sub-system levels across multiple product generations, collaborating with architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon teams.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires 5+ years of Unit/Sub-system/SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Verify ASIC design, architecture, and micro-architecture of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels across product generations.
- Design and develop scalable, reusable testbench components (constraints, stimulus, monitors, checkers, scoreboards).
- Implement and integrate UVM or Specman/e testbench components across verification environments.
- Define verification scope, develop test plans and tests, and drive coverage-based verification campaigns.
- Collaborate with multiple verification teams, architects, designers, and pre/post-silicon verification groups to resolve issues and close coverage.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills.
Must-have:
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog.
- Experience with coverage-driven, constrained-random verification environments.
- Expertise verifying industry-standard IP or interconnect protocols (examples: PCIe, CXL, UCIe, USB, SATA).
- Experience developing reusable testbench architecture and components.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies such as UVM or Specman/e and with industry-standard simulation/debug tools.
Nice-to-have:
- Deep PCIE protocol knowledge (Gen3 and above).
- Experience using both UVM and Specman/e in the same project.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree required; field not specified. The posting requires 5+ years of relevant verification experience.
