Job Title

Senior Design Verification Engineer - Neuromorphic Computing

Role Summary

Work on pre-silicon verification for next-generation neuromorphic accelerator chips. The role spans software-driven test development, RTL/HDL verification environments, emulation, and collaboration with architecture, design, and software teams to deliver first-pass silicon.

Join a cross-functional silicon team focused on scaling verification methodologies for novel, highly parallel, event-driven AI hardware.

Experience Level

Senior level. Title indicates senior role; years-of-experience guidance present in Education Requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary verification and validation duties for complex accelerator SoCs and chip-level designs.

  • Map application-level requirements into unit- and system-level test plans.
  • Write Python-based directed and constrained-random tests for design partitions and chip-level validation.
  • Run regressions, debug failures, track coverage, and work with designers to resolve issues and improve coverage.
  • Maintain assertions, scoreboards, and verification tools/flows.
  • Integrate Verification IPs (VIPs) and coordinate with IP teams to ensure protocol compliance.

Requirements

Must-have verification skills and hands-on experience.

  • 3+ years of pre-silicon verification or post-silicon validation experience in SoC accelerators or custom ASIC designs.
  • 3+ years experience with UVM and constrained-random verification methodologies.
  • 2+ years developing the full verification stack: test planning, test development, coverage tracking, emulation, and post-silicon activities.
  • 1+ year experience using AI tools for test generation, debugging, or productivity improvements.
  • Proficiency in Python for test development and automation.
  • Experience debugging regressions, tracking coverage metrics, and working with design teams to close coverage gaps.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with neuromorphic computing or AI/ML accelerator design; familiarity with commercial VIPs for interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, MACsec/IPsec, RoCEv2, MIPI CSI-2, JESD204; DFX, low-power and UPF verification techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of silicon engineering experience OR Master's degree plus 3+ years of silicon engineering experience (as stated in the posting).

Other

Work model: hybrid (split between on-site at assigned Intel site and off-site). Locations include Hillsboro, OR; Phoenix, AZ; Folsom, CA; Santa Clara, CA; Austin, TX.

Posting includes standard equal employment and benefits statements. Information about compensation range and benefits was provided by the employer.
