Job Title
Senior Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Design Verification engineer on the chip verification team responsible for system- and block-level verification of Mythic's AI processor subsystems, including scheduling fabrics, interconnects, DMA engines, and memory controllers.
The role works closely with RTL designers, architects, emulation and post-silicon teams to develop testbenches, verification infrastructure, and verification strategies that ensure first-pass silicon quality for large, highly parallel AI designs.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 8+ years of industry experience in design verification.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute system-level and block-level verification campaigns.
- Develop verification test plans and coverage plans for complex subsystems.
- Design and implement testbenches and verification IP using UVM/SystemVerilog or comparable methodologies.
- Build verification infrastructure and automated flows (including scripting for automation).
- Use architecture models, emulation, and FPGA prototyping to verify large AI network functionality and system interactions.
- Collaborate with RTL designers and architects to verify scheduling fabrics, interconnects, DMA engines, and memory subsystems.
- Drive coverage-driven verification and use advanced stimulus generation techniques to expose corner cases.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience:
- 8+ years of industry experience developing verification testbenches and verification infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of verification methodologies (UVM or similar) and SystemVerilog/Verilog.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture, datapaths, memory hierarchies, and interconnects.
- Experience verifying scheduling subsystems, high-performance interconnects, DMA engines, or memory subsystems.
- Proven track record of first-pass silicon success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with emulation or FPGA prototyping for large-scale designs.
- Exposure to formal verification methods and power- or performance-driven verification flows.
- Prior experience verifying AI, DSP, or other highly parallel architectures.
- Strong scripting skills (Python or similar) for automation and infrastructure development.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field (explicitly listed in the source). No alternative-equivalent phrasing was provided.
