Senior Design Verification Engineer, DRAM
Role Summary
The Senior Design Verification Engineer will verify and optimize digital and analog circuit designs for DRAM products, working across product development from design to silicon validation.
Position is on the DRAM Design Engineering team in Boise, collaborating with global multifunctional teams to deliver manufacturable memory solutions.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Typical background: 4+ years of semiconductor design, verification, or development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification, debugging circuits, and supporting silicon activities.
- Verify circuit functionality, reliability, power, and compliance with product specifications.
- Develop and execute verification plans; drive coverage closure and circuit debug.
- Perform circuit modeling and simulation using industry-standard tools.
- Support silicon validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out activities.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure manufacturable designs.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 4+ years of semiconductor design, verification, or development experience.
- Experience with verification planning, coverage strategies, debug, and silicon correlation.
- Integrated circuit modeling and simulation experience with SPICE and Verilog.
- Familiarity with digital and analog design methodologies and EDA tools (for example, Synopsys and Cadence Virtuoso).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with UVM, mixed-signal verification, and advanced DRAM/DDR5+ methodology development.
- Experience in parasitic modeling, advanced packaging, small-signal sensing, or high-voltage reliability.
- 5+ years in design verification, parasitic modeling, or mixed-signal design.
- Programming experience in Python and experience using AI-assisted or agentic AI tools to improve verification and EDA automation workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
