Senior Design/Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Signal Integrity Product Business Unit as part of the Digital Design and verification team to develop advanced digital subsystems for mixed-signal ICs. The role focuses on functional verification, behavioral modeling, and improving verification methodology across projects.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum 5+ years relevant industry experience; preference for 7+ years.
Responsibilities
Accountable for verification activities and technical leadership within mixed-signal IC projects.
- Plan and execute constrained-random functional verification for high-speed digital circuits.
- Develop behavioral models and perform mixed-level analog/digital simulations.
- Create technical and product documentation; prepare project plans and schedules.
- Provide technical guidance and allocate verification resources within project teams.
- Collaborate with analog, system, validation, test, and product engineering to meet customer and performance requirements.
- Support validation and qualification efforts for end products with Validation and Test teams.
- Mentor and lead other engineers; drive continual improvement of verification methodology and productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and professional capabilities.
- Expert in constrained-random verification using UVM, OVM, AVM, or VMM.
- Strong SystemVerilog skills and object-oriented verification experience.
- Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, TCL, Perl, and C.
- Experience with behavioral modeling and mixed-level simulation workflows.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix development environments.
- Solid understanding of digital verification methods and high-speed digital circuits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams; organized and detail oriented.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is required. Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience; preference for candidates with more than 7 years.
