Job Title
Senior Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead the architecture and implementation of a scratch-built SoC-level verification environment for Quadric's GPNPU-based SoCs. Work closely with architects, hardware designers, and software teams to define verification strategy, build testbenches, and validate HW/SW integration before tapeout.
This is an on-site engineering role based in Pune, India, focused on SoC verification at scale.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 5+ years of dedicated design verification experience on complex SoC/ASIC designs.
Responsibilities
Design and execute SoC-level verification efforts, own verification infrastructure, and communicate progress using coverage metrics.
- Architect and implement SoC-level UVM testbenches from scratch.
- Develop comprehensive verification test plans in collaboration with architects, HW designers, and SW teams.
- Implement scalable testbenches using commercial VIP and internal utilities.
- Create directed and randomized drivers and develop assembly/C++ programs to stress subsystems and integration.
- Verify complex SoC subsystems and third-party IP (examples: NoC, PCIe/UCIe, DDR).
- Use VCS and Verilog/C co-simulation together with scripting (Python) to run and automate test suites.
- Track, analyze, and report verification progress using functional and code coverage metrics; drive closure to target coverage.
- Establish co-simulation pipelines that validate HW/SW execution prior to tapeout.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 5+ years of dedicated design verification experience on complex SoC/ASIC designs.
- Deep expertise in UVM methodology and SoC-level verification practices.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog or Verilog; experience with assembly programming and Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience verifying SoC subsystems and third-party IP (NoC, PCIe/UCIe, DDR).
- Strong computer architecture background and experience with VCS and Verilog/C co-simulation.
- Proven ability to architect testbenches and lead cross-functional verification efforts.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
