Senior Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join Quadric's hardware team as a core verification engineer responsible for architecting and implementing verification infrastructure for a new generation of general-purpose neural processing units (GPNPU). You will collaborate with architects, hardware and software engineers and report to the CTO.

Experience Level

Senior — the role expects experienced candidates; the posting specifies at least 5 years of design verification experience for CPUs or GPUs.

Responsibilities

Design and execute verification plans and infrastructure for GPNPU processors.

  • Architect and develop testbenches and verification environments from scratch.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware and software designers to document and execute test plans.
  • Implement testbenches using commercial VIPs and internal software utilities.
  • Develop directed and random drivers, plus assembly or C++ programs to exercise the design.
  • Use coverage and other metrics to track verification progress and communicate results.

Requirements

Essential qualifications and practical expectations for the role.

  • At least 5 years of experience in design verification targeting CPU or GPU designs.
  • Deep knowledge of verification methodologies for CPU/GPU-class designs.
  • Expertise in UVM or C/C++-based CPU/GPU verification environments.
  • Experience with assembly programming and scripting (Python or similar).
  • Familiarity using coverage metrics and verification progress reporting.
  • Preference for candidates located in the California Bay Area; regular collaboration from the Burlingame, CA office and attendance at onsite meetings are expected.
