- Lead pre-silicon verification of custom IP and subsystem components, focusing on architectural and micro-architectural features.
- Collaborate with architects and designers to validate that implementations meet architectural intent.
- Develop and maintain constrained-random stimulus, scoreboards, checkers, assertions, and coverage-driven test plans.
- Implement and extend UVM components and verification environments to support simulation and emulation workflows.
- Debug RTL and verification failures using simulation/emulation and support post-silicon bring-up as required.
- Estimate verification effort, drive coverage closure and signoff, and follow Agile practices including code reviews and sprint planning.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within the verification team.
Requirements
Concise list of must-have and nice-to-have qualifications. Degree information is consolidated under Education Requirements.
- Must-have: 5+ years of industry experience in design verification delivering complex ASICs or SoCs.
- Proven experience with UVM, verification testbenches, assertions, and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Experience debugging RTL (Verilog) and working with simulation and/or emulation environments.
- Proficiency with scripting for verification and automation (Python, Bash/Zsh, Perl).
- Familiarity with industry-standard bus interfaces and interconnect concepts (e.g., AMBA/AXI).
- Ability to meet Microsoft Cloud Background Check and export-control eligibility requirements.
- Nice-to-have: Experience delivering CPU/GPU or large SoC IPs, Network-on-Chip (NoC) or interconnect fabrics, AI/ML SoC projects, and involvement in post-silicon bring-up or formal verification.
Education Requirements
Options include a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
