Job Title

Senior Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Holoscan FPGA verification team to plan and execute verification for FPGA-based edge compute designs used in healthcare, robotics, edge AI, and automotive systems. Provide technical leadership across verification strategy, environment development, and cross-team collaboration to deliver reliable platforms.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting requests at least 3+ years of ASIC verification experience; the role is positioned as a technical leader.

Responsibilities

Verify complex FPGA/ASIC designs and drive verification strategy from specification to system-level validation.

  • Define, plan, implement and execute verification strategy for Holoscan FPGA designs.
  • Develop scalable constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Collaborate with design and architecture teams to verify architectural and microarchitectural features.
  • Create stimulus and coverage strategies and track progress toward product milestones.
  • Debug low-level design issues and assess system-level impact.
  • Analyze and improve verification workflows, including incorporating AI-accelerated automation where applicable.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for the role (education summarized separately below).

  • Minimum ~3+ years of ASIC verification experience.
  • Strong SystemVerilog knowledge and experience with SVA or functional coverage.
  • Experience with verification methodologies and tools (UVM, constrained-random techniques).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl for testbench automation.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience in FPGA subsystem verification.
  • Exposure to high-speed protocols (MIPI, Ethernet, USB, PCIe).
  • Experience with formal property checking tools (e.g., Cadence IEV, Jasper, Synopsys Magellan/VC Formal).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
