Senior Design Integration Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Switch Silicon design team to lead full-chip integration for next-generation switch ASICs focused on high-speed communication, throughput and low latency. The role coordinates across architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design, backend and firmware teams to drive integration milestones.
Experience Level
Senior-level — typically 5+ years of relevant experience in RTL design integration.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include coordinating full-chip assembly and ensuring the design meets timing, area and power targets.
- Lead design integration activities for switch SoCs and drive FullChip milestone execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: architecture, u-arch, RTL designers, backend (physical design), and firmware.
- Define and validate chip-level assembly, integration flows and deliverables.
- Analyze and optimize timing, area and power at the chip level.
- Participate in RTL build and release processes and support design automation where applicable.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required for this role, with additional preferred skills listed separately.
- 5+ years of experience in RTL design integration (must-have).
- Effective communicator and team player; able to coordinate multiple engineering groups.
- Experience driving cross-functional milestone delivery and full-chip integration projects.
- Nice-to-have: experience with synthesis, physical design, DFT.
- Nice-to-have: background in RTL build systems and design automation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (B.Sc.) with strong academic performance, or equivalent practical experience.
