Senior Design Evaluation Engineer
Role Summary
Senior contributor on the product engineering team responsible for evaluating, characterizing, and validating ADC, DAC, and high-speed serial (SERDES) IP and transceiver products. Works closely with design, test, applications, and marketing teams to ensure products meet performance, manufacturability, and qualification requirements for instrumentation, communications, and data center systems.

Senior - requires industry experience; role expectations include demonstrated independent technical leadership and hands-on lab expertise.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include evaluation, debug, and validation of mixed-signal and RF transceiver products.
- Plan and execute evaluation and characterization of ADCs, DACs, and high-speed serial interfaces.
- Debug and analyze complex mixed-signal and RF systems across operating conditions; document and present results.
- Perform functional and performance testing of new silicon and embedded software to verify production readiness.
- Develop and automate test solutions using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and similar tools.
- Use precision measurement equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators) to quantify RF, analog, and digital metrics.
- Recommend testability, manufacturability, and qualification actions; support field quality initiatives.
- Interface with design, applications, marketing, and customers to resolve product issues and contribute to system-level solutions.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with advanced lab equipment and automating RF tests (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes).
- Strong programming and debug skills in Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW; familiarity with C/C++ or similar languages.
- Deep knowledge of analog and RF circuits, high-speed serial interfaces, ADCs/DACs, and mixed-signal systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; experience working in multi-disciplinary, global teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required (stated in minimum qualifications).
