Senior Design Engineer Verification (2026 New College Graduate)

Role Summary

Entry-level verification engineer role on the hardware design verification team focused on RISC-V processors/cores. The role involves developing verification infrastructure, creating and executing tests, debugging, and contributing to verification flows and methodology.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” New College Graduate / Recent Graduate. Designed for candidates who have recently graduated or are graduating in the near term.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification activities across processor/IP development:

  • Review design and RISC-V standard specifications.
  • Develop testbenches, test plans, and test cases.
  • Debug test cases and drive coverage closure.
  • Create models and improve verification flows and methodology.
  • Support IP and SoC development and verification processes.
  • Document processes, test results, and methodology decisions.
  • Perform work in compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and candidate attributes.

  • Proficiency with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Knowledge of IP development/verification or SoC verification processes.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and basic assembly programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to document processes.
  • Curiosity and ability to learn new tools and languages quickly.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Leadership or project management experience (school projects, competitions) is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Architecture, VLSI Design, or a related technical field. Candidate must have completed the degree on the date of joining and possess an overall GPA of at least 3.0.
