Senior Design Engineer
Role Summary
As a Senior Design Engineer at ChipAgents you will own and drive the product experience across CLI, web, IDE, desktop, and other agent-native interfaces. You will define workflows and interaction models, work directly with users and engineers, and ensure coherent, intuitive, and effective product behavior from problem definition through launch and iteration.
The role requires hands-on prototyping and production implementation when necessary and strong product judgment combined with technical execution.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining user workflows, designing interactions with AI agents, and collaborating with customers and engineering teams to deliver end-to-end product experiences.
- Own product UX across CLI, web, IDE, desktop, and agent-native interfaces.
- Translate complex chip design and verification workflows into clear, efficient product flows.
- Define user interactions with AI agents: task creation, progress, review, approval, interruption, recovery, and failure handling.
- Work directly with customers and domain experts to identify and validate problems.
- Build prototypes and production interfaces to explore and validate ideas quickly.
- Review and influence product work across the engineering team to maintain a high quality bar.

- Strong frontend or product engineering skills.
- Exceptional product, interaction design, and information architecture judgment.
- Ability to make decisions under ambiguity and drive alignment without formal authority.

- Experience working directly with users and translating technical needs into product decisions.
- Fast learner with the ability and desire to learn unfamiliar technical domains.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience building AI-native products, agents, copilots, or systems with probabilistic behavior.
- Experience with developer tools, command-line products, IDE integrations, or technical enterprise software.
- Familiarity with semiconductor design, verification, EDA tooling, or hardware engineering workflows.
- Experience designing products across multiple interfaces rather than a single web application.
