Role Summary

Join the NVE NAND Design Engineering Core group to design, simulate, and optimize analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks used in advanced NAND Flash memory products. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, manufacturable, and reliable solutions across technology nodes.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on circuit design, verification, and automation to meet product and system requirements.

• Design, simulate, and optimize NAND core circuit blocks, balancing performance, power, area, and reliability.
• Translate product and system requirements into circuit implementations and evaluate feasibility across use cases.
• Perform comprehensive circuit verification including DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, and PVT corner analysis at block and chip level.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to improve power efficiency, manufacturability, and overall product performance.
• Develop and maintain automation workflows (e.g., Python-based) and user documentation for design and verification tasks.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools and data-driven methods to accelerate problem solving, automate repetitive tasks, and support design analysis and decision making.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging AI capabilities and integrate automated workflows into engineering activities.
• Coordinate with physical design/layout teams to address layout constraints and manufacturability.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities; preferred items listed separately.

• Must-have:
  • Proven experience in analog and/or mixed-signal CMOS circuit design.
  • Solid understanding of device physics, variability, reliability, and power integrity.
  • Hands-on experience with SPICE-based simulation tools and circuit verification methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work in global multi-functional teams.
  • Experience with layout automation.
• Nice-to-have:
  • Experience in NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
  • Familiarity with design automation, scripting (Python), or AI-assisted design approaches.
  • Understanding of layout constraints and interaction with physical design flows.

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (as listed in the posting).
