Senior Design Engineer
Role Summary
Work on design, layout, optimization, verification, and tape-out activities for DRAM and emerging memory products and related IPs. The role interfaces with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and successful product delivery.
The position involves technical leadership, driving design innovation for future memory generations, and applying automation and AI-based tools to improve efficiency across the design and verification workflow.
Experience Level
Senior β 3+ years of relevant industry experience (as listed by the employer).
Responsibilities
Primary duties include design and validation activities across memory, analog, and logic domains, and collaboration with manufacturing and cross-functional teams.
- Design, layout, and optimize Memory/Logic/Analog circuits for DRAM and emerging memory products and IPs.
- Support design validation & verification, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions.
- Perform modeling and simulation using industry-standard simulators.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
- Coordinate with Standards, CAD, Modeling, and Technology Development groups to ensure design quality and reliability.
- Drive innovation for future memory generations within a dynamic development environment.
- Leverage AI-based tools and automation to improve design efficiency, accelerate analysis, and support verification workflows.

Must-have:
- Experience leading a team of engineers and technical subject-matter experts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Extensive knowledge of custom circuit design, analog design, verification, and layout.
- Experience with complete product design and development flow including memory design, power-network development & analysis, and reliability analysis.
- Experience with state-machine modeling, design and verification; verification methodologies such as behavioral modeling, timing analysis, and equivalence checking.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Tcl, Perl, etc.) and exposure to CAD/tools used in IC design.
- Familiarity with various memory design architectures.
Nice-to-have:
- Direct experience with reticle experiments, tape-out cycles, and manufacturability improvements.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Electronics Engineering or a related engineering field (as stated by the employer).
