Job Title

Senior Design Engineer 6 NAND Digital (NVE Engineering)

Role Summary

Member of the Non-Volatile NAND Design Engineering group responsible for defining, implementing, verifying, and validating NAND Flash digital logic features across architecture, firmware, datapath, analog, and test teams.

Technical owner for complex logic functionalities: from micro-architecture through RTL, verification, and silicon bring-up to support product ramp and yield learning.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The role requires advanced practical experience in digital logic design, verification, and silicon validation; no explicit years-of-experience stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design implementation, verification, and supporting silicon validation.

  • Own end-to-end development of logic features: architecture, RTL implementation, verification, and post-silicon validation.
  • Translate system and firmware requirements into micro-architecture and robust digital implementations.
  • Develop high-quality RTL and lead verification at block, subsystem, and full-chip levels, including coverage and post-layout validation.
  • Collaborate with architecture, firmware, analog, physical design, test, and product teams to define interfaces and ensure integration quality.
  • Support silicon bring-up, debug, root-cause analysis, and yield learning to enable product ramp.
  • Apply AI-assisted tools and data-driven methods to accelerate code generation, debug, analysis, and automation of repetitive tasks.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Strong experience in digital logic design and verification for complex SoCs or memory products.
  • Hands-on experience with RTL design, gate-level verification, and simulation methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of system-level and micro-architectural trade-offs (performance, power, reliability).
  • Experience with verification coverage, post-layout validation, and full-chip integration activities.
  • Experience supporting silicon validation, debug, and bring-up activities; strong problem-solving and communication skills for global cross-functional work.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in NAND Flash or other non-volatile memory technologies.
  • Familiarity with design automation, scripting (e.g., Python), or AI-assisted design approaches.
  • Understanding of physical design flows and layout constraints.

Education Requirements

M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
