Role Summary
Senior engineer on the Design Methodology, Automation and Infrastructure team responsible for building and scaling core automation that supports FPGA design flows from RTL to GDSII. Deliver reliable, maintainable automation and tool integrations that accelerate front-end design and verification for next-generation FPGA products.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on developing and operating automation, integrating EDA tools, and improving design verification productivity.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain advanced front-end design automation flows and methodologies for digital semiconductor design.
- Create scripts, tooling customizations, and automation frameworks (including AI-assisted tools) to streamline complex design and verification processes.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize commercial EDA tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Automate repetitive tasks and deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable flow solutions aligned with long-term architecture.
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Work with internal teams and external EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and influence tool roadmaps.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation infrastructure, methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience followed by preferred qualifications.
- Must-have: 8+ years hands-on experience with front-end RTL and/or design verification EDA tools and FPGA/ASIC design flows (examples: VCS, Xcelium, SpyGlass).
- Must-have: Experience using AI/ML-driven features within EDA tools or building data pipelines and training systems to support learning-based automation.
- Must-have: Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting/programming (Python, Tcl, Shell).
- Must-have: Experience building flow automation tools and integrating them into complex design pipelines.
- Must-have: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate user requirements into scalable solutions.
- Preferred: 10+ years of industry experience with design automation tools and front-end pre-silicon verification flows.
- Preferred: Familiarity with advanced EDA features (Lint, CDC, RDC) and prior experience in large-scale SoC or IP development environments.
- Preferred: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements
