Role Summary

Join the production engineering team in Prai, Penang as a Senior Debug Engineer responsible for diagnosing test failures, performing root-cause analysis, and working with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve test yield and product reliability.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

The role focuses on test planning, execution, failure analysis, and cross-team coordination.

• Define test conditions, sequences, and phases; conduct and document test operations.
• Use software and hardware test systems to execute tests and collect and interpret data.
• Analyze test data, perform root-cause investigations, and produce Failure Analysis and technical summary reports.
• Allocate defects to sources (process, material, design) and coordinate corrective actions with quality, purchasing, and SQA teams.
• Provide floor support and guidance to test technicians and operators on hardware and software issues.
• Configure and evaluate digital circuits using FPGA and work with BGA-packaged products.
• Resolve failures from point of origin/point of detection and monitor improvements.

Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years' experience in test/debug or production engineering for electronic products.
• Proven experience conducting failure analysis and root-cause investigations and producing technical reports.
• Proficiency with test software, test hardware, and data interpretation.
• Hands-on experience supporting production floor testing and debugging test systems.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
