Senior Compliance Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for ensuring Lumilens optical transceiver products meet global compliance and certification requirements (EMC, safety, RoHS, WEEE, GR468, and related standards). The role coordinates end-to-end certification activities with internal teams and external test labs and maintains certification readiness across product releases.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in product compliance for optical transceivers or similar electronic hardware.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute product compliance and certification activities, coordinate with labs, and maintain compliance documentation.

  • Own compliance and certification for optical transceiver products (EMC, safety, RoHS, WEEE, GR468, and other applicable standards).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EMC and safety standards for IT devices and equipment.
  • Build and manage relationships with local and international test labs; coordinate lab scheduling and testing campaigns.
  • Prepare and manage certification documentation to meet product release milestones.
  • Track regulatory changes and update compliance processes and certifications proactively.
  • Work independently on assigned projects and collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and external labs.
  • Be available to work shifts as required by lab scheduling and test timelines.

  • 8–10 years handling product compliance for optical transceivers or related electronic hardware, including EMC, safety, RoHS, WEEE, and GR468.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of EMC and safety standards for IT devices and equipment.
  • Proven experience creating and managing relationships with local and global test labs to support certification efforts.
  • Ability to work shifts according to lab scheduling.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams; strong organizational and communication skills.
