Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's CPU compiler team to design and implement upstream LLVM toolchain features and optimizations for NVIDIA Grace CPUs. The team delivers compiler technology that improves performance for AI, HPC and data-centre workloads across NVIDIA platforms.

Senior — the posting requests more than 12 years of experience in compiler development in production environments.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with geographically distributed teams to understand and improve NVIDIA CPU compiler software.
• Design and implement new compiler features and optimizations targeting NVIDIA Grace CPUs.
• Develop high-performance compiler code and code-generation components.
• Engage with upstream and open-source projects to contribute improvements and coordinate changes.
• Support next-generation CPU micro-architecture efforts with compiler and toolchain work.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• 12+ years of production compiler development experience.
• Proven knowledge of language front-ends, compiler optimization techniques, and code-generation modules.
• Strong hands-on experience with C++ development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Familiarity with CPU architectures such as ARM (AArch32/AArch64), RISC-V, x86_64, PowerPC, or DSPs.
• Experience with LLVM or other industry-standard compiler infrastructures.
• Knowledge of AI algorithms, scientific/HPC applications, and related code optimizations.
• Contributions to free software or open-source compiler communities.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
