Experience Level

Senior β€” typically expects 3+ years of compiler code-generation experience.

Responsibilities

You will contribute to the compiler backend and related tooling to produce robust, high-performance GPU machine code.

  • Understand, modify, and improve an NVIDIA proprietary GPU compiler backend written in C++.
  • Design and implement register allocation passes and other code-generation optimizations.
  • Develop and maintain compiler infrastructure for instruction scheduling, software pipelining, and related optimizations.
  • Work with global compiler, hardware, and application teams to identify, debug, and resolve performance and correctness issues.
  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and documentation; participate in code reviews.
  • Profile and tune generated code for performance on NVIDIA GPU architectures.
