Senior Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join a global circuits team responsible for designing and delivering circuit IPs (SRAM arrays, analog and/or digital circuits) for NVIDIA CPU, GPU and networking products. The role focuses on improving silicon performance, power, and silicon correlation versus pre-silicon estimates.
The engineer will collaborate across multiple teams and geographies, propose circuit-level solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting indicates a target experience range of approximately 3–8 years.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include architecting and delivering circuit IP and improving silicon correlation and performance.
- Design and deliver custom circuit IPs including SRAM arrays, analog and digital blocks.
- Architect circuit solutions and methodologies to measure on-chip silicon performance and close gaps to pre-silicon estimates.
- Design and verify circuits to improve power, performance, silicon correlation, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Vmin/Vmax, VF, yield, SPICE modelling, and silicon debug challenges.
- Propose and implement methodology improvements for logic and RAM circuits.
- Interact with global teams to align methodologies and improve silicon correlation.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant experience.
- Strong fundamentals in CMOS devices, RC circuits, and timing for dynamic and sequential circuits.
- Hands-on experience with circuit design and SPICE simulations.
- Experience with statistical modelling and static/dynamic timing analysis.
- Ability to run and develop flows such as EM, IR, noise analysis and static timing analysis to close designs to specifications.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Mentorship or technical lead experience.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of silicon correlation techniques, data analytics, and physical design.
Education Requirements
BE (Bachelor of Engineering) or M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
