Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Networking Silicon engineering team to design and verify high-speed communication chips. You will develop and validate chip blocks, build reference models, and work cross-functionally with architecture, micro-architecture, full-chip, firmware and post-silicon validation teams.
Work focuses on planning, coding, coverage and integration of verification environments for high-throughput, low-latency devices.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of chip design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute verification plans for chip blocks and entities.
- Build reference models and verification environments; run simulations.
- Perform debug and root-cause analysis; drive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, Full-chip, Firmware and Post-Silicon teams.
- Maintain and report coverage metrics; integrate blocks into larger assemblies.
- Participate in planning, coding, coverage and integration activities across the verification flow.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 5+ years of chip design dynamic verification experience.
- Professional experience with advanced verification methodologies and tools.
- Deep understanding of digital design and verification logic.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator and team player; able to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience developing verification environments in Specman.
- Design or verification experience with high-speed interconnects or SoC.
- Knowledge of network flows and protocols.
Education Requirements
B.Sc or above in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; strong academic performance is preferred.
