Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Switch Silicon design team to develop and verify high-performance networking switch chips. You will design dynamic verification environments for units and blocks and work across architecture, micro-architecture, backend and firmware teams to deliver silicon meeting power, area, and performance targets.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Requires 5+ years of experience in RTL design and dynamic verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing verification infrastructure and collaborating across multiple hardware and software teams.
- Develop and verify core units within Switch silicon.
- Define micro-architecture and plan dynamic verification environments for units and modules.
- Design dynamic verification environments according to architecture specifications under constraints for power, area, and performance.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, u-arch, full-chip micro-architecture, backend, and firmware teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes.
- 5+ years of experience in RTL design and dynamic verification.
- Experience building verification environments and planning verification strategy for blocks/modules.
- Familiarity with verification tools and methodologies (industry-standard flows implied).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven team player.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of network protocols, high-performance computing (HPC), or distributed computation.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; the posting mentions high academic scores or equivalent experience.
