Senior Camera Systems Engineer
Role Summary
Design, simulate, validate and integrate system-level camera hardware, firmware and software features. Work on system architecture, requirements, interfaces and algorithms for camera systems within a cross-functional engineering organization in Taipei.
Experience Level
Senior. Minimum qualifications specify a Bachelor's + 2+ years systems-engineering experience, a Master's + 1+ year, or a PhD. Preferred: 4+ years of systems engineering or related experience and experience interacting with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
Deliver system-level camera capabilities and ensure they meet requirements through analysis, design and validation.
- Research, design, develop, simulate and validate systems-level software, hardware, architectures and algorithms for camera subsystems.
- Perform functional analysis to derive requirements, define interfaces and align hardware/software standards.
- Develop and analyze system-level design, including performance and implementation trade-offs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, test and verify features and system behavior.
- Drive system-level triage and root-cause analysis; present debugging and test results to stakeholders.
- Generate technical proposals and design documents (e.g., IDFs) for new product features.
Requirements
Key qualifications and experience required for the role.
- Practical systems engineering or related experience (industry experience preferred; see Education Requirements for degree-based minimums).
- Experience with cellular systems (4G/5G/6G) and associated standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE) as applied to system design and integration.
- Proven ability to perform functional analysis, requirements derivation, interface definition and system-level design trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience with system validation, simulation, testing and debugging.
- Experience working in large matrixed organizations and interacting with senior leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical results and influence decisions.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of systems engineering or related experience; OR Master's degree in those fields with 1+ year of relevant experience; OR PhD in those fields.
