Senior C/C++ Software Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and own software components for Breker's SoC verification product. Work with product definition to translate specifications into R&D tasks, design and implement modules, and participate in design reviews and technical meetings.

The role includes direct customer interaction for feedback and requires delivering clean, readable, well-tested code within an agile, small-team environment.

Responsibilities

Core day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Translate product specifications into executable development tasks.
• Independently design, implement, and own one or more software modules.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented C/C++ code and unit tests.
• Debug and resolve complex software system issues.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with product team and interact with customers to gather feedback.
• Follow agile development practices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

• Excellent software design skills, including object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Extremely strong C and C++ coding skills and proven debugging ability in complex systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to plan and execute software component development independently.
• Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team and willing to engage with customers for feedback.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of constraint solving techniques (SAT, BDD, SMT).
• Familiarity with hardware design and verification languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog).
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as CMake and Git.

Education Requirements
