Job Title

Senior ATE Test Development Engineer, Digital

Role Summary

Develop and deploy Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) test programs and methods for digital SoC products to support silicon validation, characterization, and manufacturing enablement. Provide test solutions through New Product Introduction and production phases.

Work closely with design, DFT, process, product, and manufacturing teams to analyze test data, debug failures, and improve test coverage and yield.

Experience Level

Senior. Typical background: 3+ years as a test or hardware engineer (ATE/production test). Master's degree with 1+ year or a PhD may also qualify per company minimums.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain ATE test programs and test methods for digital SoCs.
  • Perform silicon validation and characterization during NPI and support manufacturing enablement.
  • Execute data reviews, analyze test results, and identify root causes of failures.
  • Collaborate with design, DFT, process, product, and manufacturing engineers to resolve issues.
  • Validate and run test flows on Advantest or Teradyne ATE platforms.
  • Operate and interpret results from common lab/test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, time/network analyzers).
  • Document test procedures, results, and updates to test scripts and infrastructure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K or Teradyne UFlex/IFlex test systems.
  • Understanding of VLSI technologies and familiarity with digital baseband products.
  • Familiarity with digital communication concepts and semiconductor physics.
  • Experience using common electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and data-analysis skills; ability to review test data and identify issues.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Programming experience in C/C++, VB, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as O+, Data Power, or Exensio.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related technical field. Company minimums reference: Bachelor's with ~2–3+ years of hardware/test engineering experience; Master's with β‰₯1 year; PhD also listed as qualifying.
