Senior ASIC Verification Engineer - SV/UVM & SoC Expert
Role Summary
Lead verification efforts for complex IP blocks and sub-systems in modern SoCs. Develop SystemVerilog UVM testbenches, drive coverage closure, and coordinate verification activities with client engineering leads and offshore teams.
This is a hands-on technical lead role focused on delivering robust verification environments and ensuring high-quality silicon for SoC projects.
Experience Level
Senior level. The role expects senior engineers with approximately 10+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and implement SV/UVM testbenches for IP and sub-system verification.
- Define verification plans and drive functional and coverage closure.
- Lead verification activities and coordinate work across client teams and offshore engineers.
- Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, regressions, and automation scripts.
- Debug complex SoC-level integration issues using simulation and waveform analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and review verification deliverables.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- 10+ years of ASIC verification experience.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM (SV-UVM).
- Hands-on experience with AMBA protocols and MIPI (DSI) interfaces.
- Proficiency in scripting and software tools: C/C++ and Python.
- Experience creating verification plans, coverage-driven verification, and closure strategies.
- Proven ability to lead verification projects and collaborate with distributed teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with assertion-based verification, formal methods, or emulation platforms.
- Familiarity with industry EDA tools (simulators, coverage tools, waveform viewers).
