Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer, Low Power Audio Subsystems/AI

Role Summary

Lead verification activities for ultra-low-power audio/AI subsystem ASICs within the audio products group. Work with design and verification teams to develop and execute verification plans, build scalable testbenches, and close verification tasks pre- and post-silicon.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include verification planning, test development, automation, and technical leadership.

  • Develop and drive verification plans and closure for pre- and post-silicon phases.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable reusable testbenches, assertions, and functional coverage models.
  • Create and maintain automated flows to improve verification productivity.
  • Lead complex debug and root-cause analysis across the development cycle.
  • Provide technical supervision and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to define verification methodology and tests.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • ASIC design, verification, or related work experience (posting lists 2+ years).
  • Experience with hardware verification languages and methodologies: SystemVerilog testbench (UVM) and/or SystemC.
  • Hardware description languages: Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Working knowledge of C or C++.
  • Strong knowledge of digital circuits and event-driven simulators.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with audio codecs/formats (MP3, MIDI) or audio subsystems.
  • Familiarity with bus/interconnect protocols (AHB, AXI) and CPU concepts (ARM v7/v8, caches, MMU, security).
  • Scripting and build tools: Perl, tcsh, Python, GNU Make.
  • Experience with automotive safety concepts/standards such as ISO 26262.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of ASIC design/verification experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 1+ year of ASIC design/verification experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field. (Degrees in electrical/computer engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or related technical fields implied by posting.)
