Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Verify the design, architecture and micro-architecture of NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs with focus on verification infrastructure and memory subsystem units. Work on hardware/firmware interactions and contribute reusable verification components and methodologies.

Work on a cross-disciplinary ASIC verification team collaborating with architects, designers and software engineers across sites to ensure correctness and robustness of silicon.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 5+ years of verification or related experience (posting indicates 5+ years).

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include planning verification scope, building infrastructure, and verifying hardware/firmware interactions.

  • Define verification scope and criteria for blocks and subsystems.
  • Design and develop verification infrastructure and reusable verification components.
  • Verify memory subsystem units and high-speed IO interactions, including firmware/hardware interactions.
  • Create and execute verification plans using random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertions.
  • Debug failures across RTL, firmware and simulation environments; drive closure of verification bugs.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers and software engineers to resolve design and verification issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proven experience with verification methodologies and creating reusable verification components (UVM or equivalent).
  • Strong SystemVerilog skills, including object-oriented features.
  • Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification.
  • Exposure to simulation and debug tools (example: VCS or equivalent, Debussy, GDB).
  • Experience verifying firmware or hardware/firmware interactions; familiarity with embedded C or assembly debugging.
  • Strong debugging, problem solving and communication skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience with high-speed IO protocols, memory coherence, embedded microcontrollers or RISC-V architecture.
  • Experience writing verification plans and deep verification intuition.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
