Senior ASIC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Verify architecture, micro-architecture and implementation of SoCs and GPUs with emphasis on memory subsystem units. Work on verification methodology and infrastructure as part of the GPU ASIC verification team in Durham, NC.
Collaborate with architects, RTL designers and software engineers across sites to define verification scope, build reusable verification components, and close functional and system-level bugs.

Senior β 5+ years of relevant work or research experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define verification scope and strategy for assigned blocks, with emphasis on memory subsystems.
- Design and implement verification infrastructure and reusable verification components.
- Create and execute verification plans using constrained-random stimulus, functional coverage and assertions.
- Debug design and verification failures using simulation and debug tools; diagnose root cause to closure.
- Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software engineers to validate interfaces and system interactions.
- Contribute to team methodology, reviews, and verification process improvements.
Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience with verification methodology and building reusable verification components.
- Experience with constrained-random stimulus, functional coverage and assertion-based verification.
- Fluent in object-oriented programming with C++ and/or SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent simulators; debug tools such as Debussy, GDB) and methodology frameworks (UVM or equivalent).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-site collaboration.
- Nice-to-have: prior verification experience with high-speed I/O protocols or memory coherence.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
