Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior, hands-on verification engineer responsible for verification strategy and execution for complex AI-acceleration IPs and subsystems. Work on a cross-functional engineering team to deliver silicon to sign-off.

Influence verification methodology, introduce AI-assisted verification tools, and mentor engineers while collaborating with architects, designers, DFT, and bring-up teams.

Experience Level

Senior — 6+ years of hands-on functional verification experience.

Responsibilities

Own verification activities from planning through sign-off and provide technical leadership across teams.

• Define and execute verification strategy and plans for complex IPs and subsystems.
• Build verification environments and drive coverage closure to sign-off.
• Lead technical reviews of plans, environments, and results; mentor and guide engineers.
• Integrate and champion AI tools across verification flow (stimulus, checkers, coverage, debug).
• Collaborate with architects, designers, DFT, emulation, and bring-up teams to ensure block-to-system correctness.

Core technical qualifications and experience required; followed by relevant advantages.

Must-have

• 6+ years of hands-on functional verification experience, with a record of taking complex IPs/subsystems to sign-off.
• Deep expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM, constrained-random and coverage-driven verification, and verification planning.
• Strong intuition for using AI tools to advance verification workflows.
• Demonstrated technical leadership: owning verification strategy, mentoring engineers, and driving cross-team decisions.

Nice-to-have

• Verification experience with accelerators, datapath, or compute-heavy IPs for AI/ML.
• Familiarity with the broader development cycle including design, DFT, emulation/bring-up.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
