Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

As a Senior ASIC Verification Engineer on NVIDIA's GPU and SoC team, you will define and execute verification plans, build verification infrastructure, and verify hardware/firmware interactions for memory subsystem units and related IP. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and software engineers across sites to ensure correct implementation.

Senior; typically 5+ years of verification or related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define verification scope and develop verification plans for assigned blocks.
  • Design and implement verification environments and reusable components using SystemVerilog/UVM or equivalent.
  • Create randomized stimulus, functional coverage models, and assertion-based checks.
  • Verify firmware and hardware/firmware interactions; assist with embedded firmware debugging.
  • Develop and maintain verification infrastructure and use simulation and debug tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close verification tasks and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of ASIC verification experience.
  • Strong SystemVerilog skills and object-oriented verification experience (UVM or equivalent).
  • Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification.
  • Familiarity with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS, debug tools, GDB) and verification methodologies.
  • Demonstrated debugging ability, problem-solving skills, and strong communication.

Nice-to-have:

  • Verification experience with high-speed I/O protocols or memory coherence.
  • Experience debugging embedded firmware (C or RISC-V assembly) and knowledge of embedded microcontrollers/RISC-V architecture.
  • Experience writing verification plans and developing reusable verification components.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field β€” or equivalent practical experience.
