Experience Level

Senior - typically 5+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing verification infrastructure and ensuring design correctness for assigned units.

  • Define verification scope and create test plans for assigned blocks.
  • Develop and maintain verification environments and testbenches for unit- and system-level verification.
  • Verify ASIC design, architecture, golden models, and micro-architecture using advanced methodologies (e.g., UVM or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and pre-/post-silicon teams to debug and close verification issues.
  • Analyze coverage and assertions to drive verification closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; a few desirable items listed separately.

  • Must-have: Experience with random stimulus, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification methodologies.
  • Must-have: Experience with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent; debuggers such as Debussy, GDB).
  • Must-have: Proficiency in SystemVerilog or a similar hardware verification language.
  • Must-have: Programming experience in C++ and solid understanding of OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Must-have: Strong fundamentals in computer architecture and digital design; excellent debugging and analytical skills.
