Senior ASIC Power and Thermal Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Silicon Solutions Team within the Silicon Solution Group to design, validate, and productize power and thermal management features for NVIDIA ASICs and systems. The role focuses on architecting test methodologies, defining board and firmware/software requirements, and enabling feature deployment into products.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests 5+ years of experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and productization.
Responsibilities
The role requires hands-on engineering, cross-functional coordination, and mentoring of junior engineers.
- Develop test methodologies for next-generation power and thermal management features.
- Specify board design and firmware/software requirements to characterize silicon.
- Create processes and methodologies for deploying features into products.
- Collaborate with system architects, chip and board designers, firmware/software engineers, ATE, process/reliability, and operations teams.
- Train and mentor engineers to resolve complex power and thermal challenges.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes.
- 5+ years experience in silicon bring-up, validation, and productization.
- Experience with control systems, power/thermal controllers, and management.
- Deep understanding of silicon power, transistor/device physics, power modeling and measurement, and active power management.
- Experience driving board-level and FW/SW requirements for characterization and test.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Perl or C) is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, consensus-building, and multitasking skills; self-starter mindset.
Education Requirements
B. Tech or M. Tech in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
