Senior ASIC Engineer
Role Summary
Work on NVIDIA's PMU IP that manages power, thermal, voltage-rail and idle telemetry across chips. The role focuses on RTL design and micro-architecture for power-management and system-control functions, collaborating with software and architecture teams to deliver production silicon.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 3+ years of relevant ASIC design experience; preference for candidates with a Master's or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define architecture and micro-architecture for power-management features in collaboration with production software and power-architecture teams.
- Design and implement micro-architecture in RTL for PMU and system-control features.
- Support silicon bring-up and debug to verify PMU functionality and interactions with chip subsystems.
- Work with software on the RISC-V core to integrate control algorithms and telemetry processing.
- Contribute to architecture and RTL decisions for next-generation PMU across data center, GeForce, automotive, PC, and networking products.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 3+ years of ASIC design experience working on frontend design or system-level control features.
- Familiarity with frontend ASIC design flows and RTL coding.
- Strong communication skills and proficient spoken English for frequent collaboration with teams in the USA and India.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with thermal management, active power or low-power design (examples: NAFLL ADC, AVFS, DVFS, power/clock/gating domains).
- Experience in system-level control features or power-management architectures.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is expected; a Master's is preferred. Equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
