Senior ASIC Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement power management unit (PMU) micro-architecture and RTL for NVIDIA SoCs. The PMU includes a RISC-V core and control logic that manages power, thermal, VR and idle telemetry across the chip.
This role sits on the PMU/power team and collaborates closely with firmware/software, power architecture, and silicon validation teams to define features and deliver RTL for datacenter, GeForce, automotive, PC and networking products.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 3+ years of relevant ASIC or system-level control experience.
Responsibilities
Primary technical responsibilities for the PMU and its integration with system software and silicon.
- Collaborate with production software and power architecture teams to define PMU architecture and micro-architecture for power features.
- Translate micro-architecture into synthesizable RTL and ensure design quality.
- Support silicon bring-up and debug to validate PMU function and system impact.
- Work with RISC-V firmware and software teams to integrate control algorithms and telemetry interfaces.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and India during design and validation cycles.
Requirements
Core skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of ASIC engineering or related system-level control experience.
- Experience with frontend ASIC design and RTL implementation.
- Proven ability to implement micro-architecture into RTL.
- Strong communication skills and proficient spoken English for frequent cross-region collaboration.
- Ability to debug silicon and work through system integration issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field - or equivalent practical experience.
