Senior ASIC Digital / DSP Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior engineer on the ASIC digital design team responsible for DSP algorithm development, RTL design, verification, and integration with analog measurement circuits. The role covers full ASIC lifecycle activities from architecture and IP validation through synthesis and product turn-on debugging.
Experience Level
Senior β 10+ years of experience in digital and mixed-signal ASIC design and DSP algorithm development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop digital architecture and DSP algorithms and implement RTL for digital and mixed-signal ASICs.
- Perform RTL verification, IP validation, and synthesis for ASIC projects.
- Integrate DSP algorithms with high-performance analog measurement circuits to improve system performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex design and customer application issues; validate design concepts against requirements.
- Participate in verification, debugging, and product turn-on activities.
- Collaborate across hardware, firmware, and system teams to deliver production ASICs.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills and experience:

Must-have: 10+ years of experience in digital and mixed-signal ASIC design and DSP algorithm development.

Must-have: Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering and digital signal processing theory with a solid mathematical background.

Must-have: Practical experience with RTL design and verification and using software models for ASIC design/verification.

Must-have: Familiarity with ASIC/FPGA design flow and methodologies.

Must-have: Experience with commercial digital ASIC design tools (for example Cadence or Mentor) or equivalent toolchains.

Preferred: Understanding of analog design basics and experience integrating analog measurement circuits.

Preferred: Fluency in object-oriented programming and experience using software models in the design flow.

Preferred: Experience with test plan design, regression testing, and functional coverage.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
