Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer (Silicon Engineering)
Role Summary
Work on verification of next-generation digital ASICs for Starlink across pre-silicon verification, chip bring-up, and post-silicon validation. Collaborate with systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, and product engineering teams.
Develop verification plans, test harnesses, and regression infrastructure to achieve functional and coverage closure for complex ASIC blocks and full-chip systems.
Experience Level
Senior β 5+ years of design verification and testbench development experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include block- and system-level digital ASIC verification and related test development.
- Develop and execute test plans, test harnesses, and test sequences.
- Run regressions and drive code and functional coverage closure.
- Contribute to pre-silicon verification, chip bring-up, and post-silicon validation.
- Analyze results, implement coverage models, and iterate test strategies.
- Work independently to verify complex digital designs and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and conditions for this role.
- 5+ years of ASIC design verification and testbench development experience.
- Hands-on experience with digital ASIC verification at block and system level.
- ITAR eligibility: U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical milestones.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM, or VMM and constrained-random verification.
- Strong object-oriented programming and scripting skills (Python) for automation.
- Experience with RTL design, chip bring-up, and post-silicon validation.
- Expertise in coverage-driven verification and analyzing coverage metrics.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required; advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred.
