Job Title
Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer will own digital SoC verification for automotive communication semiconductors and systems. You will plan and execute verification campaigns, produce coverage-driven sign-off artifacts, and work closely with architects, RTL designers, and software engineers to validate complex designs.
Experience Level
Senior-level β minimum 10+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define and execute verification plans across IP, subsystem and SoC levels.
- Develop UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, and gate-level simulations and coverage analysis.
- Debug simulation failures and drive root-cause analysis with designers and architects.
- Automate regressions, test generation, and EDA tool flows using Python and TCL.
- Integrate and verify third-party IP (SerDes, controllers, processors) and interfaces.
- Design reusable verification infrastructure and pre/post-silicon tests.
- Document verification results and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 10+ years of ASIC verification experience.
- Strong understanding of verification fundamentals and industry-standard methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog/Verilog and UVM.
- Experience with Python, TCL, and C/C++ for test and tool automation.
- Experience across the full verification flow: spec β coverage analysis β gate-level simulation.
- Strong simulation debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Self-motivated, with strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with networking protocols (Ethernet MAC/PHY, TCP/IP, PCIe) and security.
- Experience with video protocols/processing or digital signal processing filters.
- Experience verifying SerDes and other high-speed IP.
- Familiarity with SystemC/DPI and modular, reusable testbench architectures.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
