Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer, Compute DSP/AI Processors (multiple levels)
Role Summary
Join a compact ASIC IP team responsible for verification of DSP/AI processor blocks used in Snapdragon NPUs. The team focuses on design and verification of hardware IP that accelerates AI, ML, and video workloads.
The role involves developing and maintaining verification environments, writing tests and coverage, debugging with designers, and supporting integration and performance validation.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Verify complex IP blocks using UVM and coverage-driven, constrained-random methodologies.
- Write SystemVerilog tests, assertions, and functional coverage.
- Develop and modify testbench components (scoreboards, agents, sequences) and contribute to testbench architecture.
- Debug design and verification issues in collaboration with design engineers; triage regression failures and maintain regressions.
- Support integration testing and performance validation of the design.
- Contribute to testplan implementation and verification methodology improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Experience with SystemVerilog for test and assertion development.
- Experience with UVM and coverage-driven verification methodologies.
- Experience writing functional coverage and assertions; familiarity with constrained-random verification flows.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, C-shell) for test automation and regression support.
- Practical experience with testbench debug, regression maintenance, and triage.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and clear communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with DSP/AI processor verification or related IP.
- Experience with performance testing and integration of IP into larger subsystems.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts.
Education Requirements
Posting specifies degree or equivalent experience options: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience); Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
