Job Title

Senior ASIC Design Engineer - DFX

Role Summary

Join the DFX Methodology Team to define architecture, design, implementation, and verification of DFT IP for next-generation SoC products. The role spans pre-silicon methodology and RTL through post-silicon bring-up and validation, working across design, verification, backend, and software teams.

Experience Level

Senior level. Typical guidance: B.S. (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience. Role expects several years of hands-on SoC architecture, RTL design, and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include architecture, methodology, integration, verification, and post-silicon support for DFT IP.

  • Own architecture and RTL design of fuse controller and related DFT IP for SoC projects.
  • Develop, deploy, and scale DFT methodologies for current and future products.
  • Define features and align requirements with architects, platform, and software teams.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, synthesis, timing, and backend teams for integration.
  • Create and execute test plans for functional and full-chip DFT verification.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up, debug, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior engineers on test design strategies and trade-offs.

Requirements

Core technical skills and hands-on experience expected for successful candidates.

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in SoC architecture, RTL design, and verification.
  • Strong micro-architecture and RTL development skills using Verilog; UVM experience is a plus.
  • Deep expertise in DFT design, methodology, and implementation.
  • Experience in post-silicon bring-up on ATE, including pattern formats, test program development, and failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Perl, or Tcl) for automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with clocking, static timing analysis (STA), place & route, and power optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field with ~8+ years' experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with ~6+ years' experience. "Related field" includes computer engineering, computer science, physics, or other technical disciplines; equivalent practical experience is accepted where stated.
