Job Title

Senior ASIC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver high-performance, area- and power-efficient RTL for NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs. Work spans architecture, micro-architecture, RTL design and synthesis, logic and timing verification, and verification infrastructure.

Hybrid role based in Santa Clara; collaborate with cross-functional and remote ASIC teams to meet design targets for consumer graphics, AI, and automotive products.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 5+ years of relevant ASIC/VLSI design and verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include design, verification and delivery of production-ready RTL and verification infrastructure.

  • Document, implement, and deliver fully verified RTL that meets performance, area, and power targets.
  • Define architecture and micro-architecture; implement RTL and perform logic and timing verification.
  • Develop and support verification infrastructure; define verification scope and strategies.
  • Use CAD and semiconductor process technologies to achieve design goals.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multiple ASIC development teams across locations.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Proven hardware engineering background with concentration in VLSI and computer architecture.
  • Expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog or similar HDLs; proficient scripting in Perl, Python, or equivalent.
  • Experience with logic synthesis and timing analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with design and verification tools (e.g. VCS or equivalent simulators; debug tools such as Verdi, GDB).
  • Experience developing and running testbench environments; strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with on-site and remote teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with embedded processors, assertion-based verification, functional coverage, random-stimulus methodologies, and familiarity with semiconductor process technologies.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent practical experience). No specific field of study specified in the posting.
