Experience Level
Senior - typically 7+ years of relevant ASIC/RTL design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, RTL implementation, verification collaboration, and power/performance optimization.
- Architect complex modules and subsystems for high-performance networking ASICs.
- Write functional and micro-architecture specifications meeting power/area/performance targets.
- Implement designs in Verilog/SystemVerilog and prepare final netlists.
- Develop functional coverage and SVA to expose corner-case bugs.
- Apply power-reduction techniques during architecture and implementation.
- Collaborate with physical design for floorplanning and timing closure; identify and fix RTL timing issues.
- Work with verification teams to validate blocks end-to-end.
- Mentor new graduates and interns; provide technical guidance to the team.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and preferences.
- Proficient in Verilog and SystemVerilog for design and implementation.
- Experience writing functional coverage and SVA assertions for verification.
- Proven experience delivering high-performance RTL from specification to netlist.
- Experience with power-optimization techniques for ASICs.
- Experience collaborating with physical design and verification teams; RTL timing closure experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and networking protocols is strongly desired.
