Senior ASIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Implement high-performance, area- and power-efficient RTL for GPU SoCs and related IP. Work on features such as work schedulers, time distribution, interrupt controllers, and DMA engines while collaborating with architects, verification, synthesis/timing and back-end teams to deliver synthesis- and timing-clean designs.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 8+ years of relevant ASIC design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include micro-architecture, RTL implementation, and cross-functional coordination to deliver verified silicon-ready designs.
- Craft micro-architecture and implement in RTL to meet performance, area, and power targets.
- Analyze architectural trade-offs based on features, performance, and system limitations.
- Deliver fully verified, synthesis- and timing-clean RTL designs.
- Collaborate with architects, verification (pre- and post-silicon), synthesis, timing, and back-end teams.
- Design features to support silicon debug and post-silicon validation.
- Work across a range of GPU-related IP (schedulers, time distribution, interrupts, DMA, interconnects).
Requirements
Key technical requirements and expectations.
- Proven experience in micro-architecture and RTL development using Verilog; focus areas include arbiters, scheduling, synchronization, bus protocols, interconnect networks, and/or caches.
- Strong understanding of the full ASIC design flow: RTL design, verification methodologies, logic synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Exposure to digital systems and VLSI design, computer architecture, and computer arithmetic.
- Strong debugging, analytical skills, and effective interpersonal/teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-have:
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with post-silicon validation or silicon bring-up tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
