Senior ASIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the System ASIC team to design and implement system-level modules for NVIDIA GPUs and SoCs. The role focuses on RTL design, logic synthesis, timing analysis, SOC integration, and improving design flows and methodologies.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 5+ years of ASIC design or SoC integration experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include delivering RTL and ensuring successful integration of modules at the SOC level.
- Design and implement RTL for system-level modules (e.g., reset and boot controllers, floor sweep, in-silicon measurement).
- Perform logic synthesis and timing analysis and iterate to meet timing and area targets.
- Integrate modules into the SOC and collaborate with architects, verification, and bring-up teams.
- Drive improvements in design flows, methodologies, and tooling to increase quality and efficiency.
- Support silicon bring-up and resolve integration or timing issues that arise in hardware validation.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 5+ years of ASIC design experience or SOC integration/flow experience.
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals and ASIC design flow including RTL design, verification concepts, logic synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Strong coding and scripting skills (Perl, Python, C++, or similar).
- Basic understanding of verification methodology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with ARM CPU and SoC system architecture (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA).
- Experience with reset controllers, boot or fuse controllers, or UCIe protocol.
- Hands-on experience programming in C/C++ and scripting with Perl/Python.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field β or equivalent practical experience.
